Menurut Jaya Samaya Monong, Pemerintah Kabupaten Gunung Mas telah beberapa kali melakukan pertemuan dengan PT Agro Lestari Sentosa pada rapat pertama tanggal 14 November tahun 2019, rapat kedua tanggal 8 Agustus tahun 2020 dan rapat yang ketiga tanggal 23 Juni tahun 2021 dengan pembahasan yang sama yaitu agar perusahaan memberikan kebun plasma kepada masyarakat. Namun dari tiga kali pertemuan itu, pihak perusahaan PT Agro Lestari Sentosa masih belum memenuhi kewajibannya terhadap masyrakat Kabupaten Gunung Mas yang berada di wilayah perkebunan, sehingga pada tanggal 24 Februari tahun 2022 Bupati Gunung Mas telah mengambil langkah tegas dengan menutup operasional, hingga pihak perusahaan memenuhi kewajibannya. “Pada kesempatan ini saya ingin menjelaskan bahwa tindak lanjut hasil rapat dengan direksi yang dijanjikan pada tanggal 10 maret namun di percepat pada tanggal 9 maret 2022 terkait dengan kewajiban dari PT Agro Lestari Santosadari kesimpulan rapat tersebut belum ada kesepakatan yang dicapai, maka selaku Bupati Kabupaten Gunung Mas saya mengambil tindakan tegas dengan mengambil sebanyak 20% dari luasan kebun inti PT Agro Lestari Sentosa” tegas Jaya Samaya Monong.
